CANDLE CARE

candles-2-5.jpg

The first time you light your wooden wick candle allow the wax to melt fully across the top so that it reaches the edges of the vessel and the whole surface is liquid. This stage is important, soy wax has a ‘memory’ so this ensures that the candle burns evenly and minimizes tunnelling.

Before lighting your candle trim the wooden wick to 1/4 inch.

Each time you light your candle make sure to break off or trim the black burnt part of the wick. If you do not snap off the burnt wick the candle will not burn efficiently and will not stay lit.

Do not allow your candle to burn completely down to the bottom of container. This is a safety precaution to prevent the vessel from cracking.

Burn on a heat resistant, flat surface and always keep away from drafts and flammable items. Never leave a candle burning unattended or continuously for more than 4 hours.
